Design for Additive Manufacturing
With the advances in 3D printing process development, additive manufacturing takes an increasing percentage of production in modern manufacturing. However, such growth poses a great challenge in design for direct digital manufacturing for designers as well as manufacturers. Hence there is an urgent need to bridge the gap between design and fabrication in the additive manufacturing systems. By integrating machine learning techniques with design and fabrication, computational design and prefabrication schemes will be explored.
