The research of the DREAM lab focuses on the areas of computational design for customized products, mechanical metamaterials design, and data analytics for additive manufacturing (AM). Specifically, the study topics include computational geometry, geometric deep learning, data analytics, CAD/CAM/CIM systems, multi-material fabrication with 3D printing, robotic-assisted manufacturing. Towards a smart and intelligent cyber-manufacturing system, our research mainly includes design for mass customization, generative design, design for AM and data analytics for the manufacturing processes, and human-robot collaboration.
